TMZ has published body camera footage from the aftermath of the domestic violence incident involving Nick Gordon and his girlfriend, Laura. The video came out about a week after prosecutors reportedly declined to pursue the case against him.
According to TMZ, Gordon first called police himself and said he was the victim of domestic violence. When officers arrived, they reportedly noticed apparent injuries on Laura and began treating Gordon as the suspect.
In the footage, Gordon speaks with an officer and becomes emotional. He shows the officer his torn shirt and says Laura became upset during an argument. He also claims she had called police on him before and that she scratched and hit him. Gordon denies ever putting his hands on her, saying, “I would never.”
Laura gave officers a different account. She said Gordon hit her and slapped her in the face, and that he had been drinking before the incident. She also told officers she was worried about his state of mind and said he talked about wanting to be with his angels, which was reported to be a reference to Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Gordon denied that he was suicidal.
