Amid #LeBronJames’ legal battle with the University of Alabama over copy infringement concerns for its new show “Shop Talk”, the King’s multimedia company, #UNINTERRUPTED, has been slapped with a lawsuit for its own version of the Barbershop series.

According to ESPN, Adventure Enterprises filed a lawsuit against James’ company, as it claimed to be a consultant on the UNINTERRUPTED “The Shop” series before being cut out of production.

In the lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports, Adventure said it was part of a two-year early development process, where it engaged in “numerous talks” with James’ company to “flesh out the idea and figure out a strategy for pitching it to various networks.” In fact, according to the suit, Adventure claimed it discussed the very premise of James’ show, “a barbershop where celebs share their business success stories while getting a haircut.”

As a result, Adventure wants UNINTERRUPTED to stop all production for the show, in addition to coughing up “serious” monetary compensation.

In turn, a source close to James and his business partner, Maverick Carter, who is the CEO of the media platform and facing legal action as well, said, “The company sought a payment eight months ago and were told their claim was ridiculous, and they disappeared. “They clearly saw the media around the University of Alabama story and saw an opportunity for a publicity stunt.”

However, according to TMZ, the lawsuit did acknowledge their interaction over the idea, but contrary to the source’s statement, the lawsuit claimed their previous confrontation resulted in “an apology (to Adventure) and assurance it was a one-time deal and wouldn’t happen again.”

Since the back and forth between UNINTERRUPTED and Alabama, the University has reportedly released the second episode and renamed the show to “Bama Cuts.”
