So you want to know them in and out? You want to know what they’re all about… you want to know what makes them laugh? You want to know about their past — But they say you’re just a friend?
Well thanks to Mario, that’s the easy way to tell if you’ve been friend zone, but what about those somewhat subtle signs? Is you’re prospective bae feeling you like you’re feeling them?

Here are 5 signs that will let you know that you can just start putting in your efforts elsewhere — because sorry to tell you, you may be just a friend.

1. You call them. They text back.
Chances are if prospective bae is feeling you, they’re going to call you back. It’s hard to tell someone’s emotions over a text, and if they like you as much as you like them, they’re going to want to show it! The only time the text back to the missed call is not interpreted as a slick send-off, is when they text you back saying they’ll call you as soon as they get the chance.

2. You hit them with a “good morning,” text and they text you back 12 hours later saying, “Sorry I was hella busy today, hope you had a great day!” Um. Yeah. No. Nip that one in the bud the first time it happens. It’s 2018. Everyone knows how to multitask — when they want to — no matter how busy they are. If they can’t take 7 seconds out of their day just to acknowledge your sweet act of kindness, they don’t deserve any more GM texts, and quite frankly, they don’t want them!

3. When you blow up their Insta liking all their fine ass selfies, and they respond by liking your one sexy pic of your last burrito bowl. The disrespect right? You know you’re still fine at the end of the day, and they may not necessarily disagree — they’re just more worried about leading you on. So do yourself a favor and just take the hint, because if you keep showing them love that they’re not throwing back, it just comes off as thirsty.

4. When you go in for a hug, and prospective bae gives you the half hug back. Admit it. We’ve all be there. That awkward half-hug when they’re not really even hugging you, but controlling how much you two actually end up touching. If you were more than just a friend, trust and believe, hugs will be more than just hugs… modest rubbing, grabbing, and them not wanting to let you go.
