Early Wednesday Morning, #TI was arrested in Henry County outside of his gated community.
According to AJC, the incident occurred after an argument with the gate guard, who refused to grant him access without his key. Although according to TMZ, T.I. was eventually allowed in, he allegedly returned on foot to address the guard.

About four hours later, T.I. was released after posting a $2,250 bond and made it home just in time to celebrate his son’s birthday.

Since then, the rapper has opened up about the incident. According to The Blast, T.I. says the incident started because the security guard of his gated area fell asleep in the guard shack. He says when he called out the guard for sleeping on the job, a “very heated debate” ensued between the two, which prompted the guard to phone officials.

When the cops arrived, T.I. says he was immediately arrested because they were “white cops in a very white area,” despite the fact that the guard involved was black. He also says the guard was the aggressor in the situation and “antagonized” instead of apologizing for sleeping on the job. In fact, T.I. says the guard even refused to provide his name, so he is planning to sue for the incident.
