After the incident, the Atlanta rapper detailed the situation with The Blast, revealing it all started because the gate guard was sleeping on the job. In fact, he said things took a turn for the worse when the guard refused to take responsibility for his actions.

However, in a recently released police report, the guard provided a different account.

According to TMZ, the guard told officials that the rapper pulled up at about 4 am and asked him to “hook me up.” But, the guard said he didn’t recognize T.I., so he didn’t let him in until the rapper began verbally assaulting him. In fact, the guard said the rapper even returned and invited him to settle the dispute in the streets, which prompted him to phone officials.

On the other hand though, T.I. said the guard left out some major details in his complaint, including his own transgressions.

According to the publication, T.I. said he never said “Hook me up, but instead said “Look me up,” as he tried to gain entry into his gated community. But, when the guard said he couldn’t find T.I.’s name, the rapper said he called his wife for assistance, which is when the guard cursed her out.
“Who the f*** do you think you is talking to me like this?” the guard said, which sent the rapper into a rage. But, things never got physical.

T.I. said he was let into the community after the confrontation but he did return to get the guard’s information. But he said the guard refused.

T.I. also admitted that he invited the guard to step outside to talk, but maintains things never got physical. He said the guard then phoned officials to report a black male, which prompted officials to respond and arrest him without getting his side of the story, which explains his frustration in recently released footage from jail.
