Trey Songz has found himself in the middle of yet another legal issue, this time, over a physical altercation involving a police officer.
The incident occurred on December 28, 2016 at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. According to TMZ, it all started after the singer threatened the facility to cut his set short, saying, “If a n*gga cut me off, I’m goin’ the f*ck crazy.”
As a man of his word, when the venue cut the stage lighting, the singer flew into a rage and began wrecking the stage and equiptment, tossing much of the heavy machinery off the stage. According to TMZ, the singer then jumped off the stage, picked up a mic stand and threw it at a photographer, who also filed a suit against him.

In the lawsuit obtained by the publication, Sgt. Robert Avery says Songz hit him in the face, made him fall and hit his head on the concrete. Avery says he sustained visible injuries from the incident, in addition to a contusion to his left forehead.

As a result, Songz was arrested and charged with assaulting, resisting and obstructing an officer, but in exchange for a plea deal, he got off with 2 counts of disturbing the peace. However, he still must face the lawsuits in the wake of the incident.
