In days after Roseanne lost her eponymous ABC sitcom over her offensive tweet, where she likened a black former adviser to forever President Barack Obama to an ape, her ex-husband actor #TomArnold is setting the record straight about the comedian.

Barr is “obviously” racist, Arnold said in an interview with “Good Morning Britain,” adding that the comedian “needs to get off Twitter” and someone has “got to get her phone away from her.”

“I have to say, I saw it coming. I warned everybody,” Arnold said of Roseanne’s tweet about Valerie Jarett, as he continued with an explanation on why he believed his ex was a racist. “I base that on the last six months of her tweeting on social media.”

Arnold highlighted the comedian’s public support of Donald Trump, who he believes is also racist, as well as the comedian’s own mental health issues that may have played a “part” in Barr’s recent outburst.

“She had the multiple personality disorder, she was honest and courageous about that,” he said. “I don’t know exactly what’s going on. I know there is mental illness issues.”
