Just one day after Donald #Trump cancelled the White House visit for the Super Bowl Champions after most declined to attend, the NBA Eastern and Western Conference champions have agreed that the visit is already a no go for the NBA Champ, regardless of who it is.
On Tuesday, in two separate interviews, both #LeBronJames and #StephCurry said neither team would visit the White House after winning the championship.
“I know whoever wins this series, no one wants an invite,” the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar told ESPN’s Chris Haynes. However, his response was no surprise, as the baller never really shied away from politics. Back when Billy Bush’s ‘Access Hollywood’ tape leaked, he denounced Trump’s defense, saying the comments were not “locker room talk.” Just last year, James took to Twitter to defend his four-time NBA Finals rival, Curry, after Trump revoked Curry’s all-but declined White House invitation.

“U Bum,” James wrote. “#StephCurry already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite. Going to the White House was a great honor until you showd up!”

In Curry’s response, he agreed with James and said his team will make the same moves they made last year after Trump’s temper tantrum.

“I agree with Bron,” Curry said. “The way we handled things last year….we’ll stay consistent with that.”
