Reggie Bush Wins $12.5 Million Payout In Injury Lawsuit Against the St. Louis Rams

Reggie Bush just secured a $12.5 million payout in his injury lawsuit against the St. Louis Rams.

Back in 2016, Bush filed a suit against the Rams, alleging that the Rams and stadium officials allowed “a dangerous condition to exist at the Dome” that caused him slip on a “concrete ring of death,” in 2015 at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

In the initial incident, Bush, a then-San Francisco 49er, ran out of bounds on a punt return and slipped on some concrete, which led to a torn lateral meniscus and a soiled season. He then went on to sign a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, finishing with 12 carries for minus -3 years, seven catches for 90 yards and a touchdown in the last year of his 11-year NFL career.

However, according to ESPN, he argued that he would have signed a bigger contract if not for the injury, which a St. Louis jury agreed, as it ordered the Rams to pay Bush $4.95 million in compensatory damages and $7.5 million in punitive damages.

Initially, Bush named St. Louis Regional Convention, Sports Complex Authority, St. Louis Convention, Visitors Commission and the St. Louis Rams in the lawsuit, but a judge ruled to dismiss the convention authority and sports complex from the suit, leaving the Rams as the sole defendant, the publication reports.
