T.I. has settled with his former Scales 925 restaurant employees for about $75,000. When the restaurant shut down in 2016, the employees lost their jobs and also complained about the way the restaurant was run. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to TMZ, Tip settled with 9 of 11 employees who came after him and each will receive $8,333.33 in unpaid money. The rapper must also pay for $25,000 worth of attorney’s fees.
Added together, the ATL native has to fork over about $100,000 in total. TMZ says that T.I. claimed he was never a bad restaurant owner, but the manager he hired wasn’t running the operation the way he should have.
The settlement comes just four months after it was reported that the 37-year-old rapper settled with a group of former Scales 925 employees who also alleged unpaid wages. In that suit, the rapper agreed to cough up $78,000 to the group of ex-employees, covering their legal fees, damages, as well as their unpaid wages, reports state.
