Authorities say a second suspect is now in custody in the murder of rapper XXXTentacion.
On Wednesday, the Broward Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest. According to TMZ, 22 year old Michael was arrested on July 5 on an unrelated drug charge and was then served with an arrest warrant for first degree murder five days later.
Officials say Michael is one of two gunmen involved in the shooting and robbery of the Florida rapper last month. Detectives are still searching for the second gunman.
The Sun Sentinel reports that investigators also want to speak with another man who has been described as a person of interest, to learn what he may know. A person of interest has not been charged with a crime.
The investigation is ongoing, and the charges against the suspects are allegations that have not been proven in court.
