“When Vince Carter came and stuck his arm in the rim, everybody went crazy in the whole damn gym” – Atlanta Hawk fans, circa 2019….probably.

Yes, #VinceCarter is still in the league. In fact, the free agent has landed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks, which subsequently secured his position in NBA History.

Carter’s forthcoming season, which will earn him $2.4 million under the veteran’s minimum contract, will be his 21st season, joining Dallas Mavericks legend, Dirk Nowitzki, as the only member of the 1998 draft class to still be in the league.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The two will etch their names in NBA History alongside Robert Parish, Kevin Willis and Kevin Garnett, for the most seasons ever played in the league.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Carter is also the oldest player in the league, as he will turn 42 in January. But, what’s most impressive is that Carter is still dunking 21 years in.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Last season, the vet averaged 5.4 points and 17.7 minutes per game with the Sacramento Kings. What do you think Carter will bring to the Hawks?
