Over the weekend, E! News revealed that Demi Lovato had been “getting better” days after her overdose, as she received continue support from her family and ex, Wilmer Valderrama.
But now, according to TMZ, Lovato is still recovering at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center, however, sources say she is very sick due to “complications” related to her overdose.
On Tuesday, July 24th, the 25-year-old was found at her Los Angeles home, unconscious from an apparent overdose. Lovato had been battling addiction over the years, but recently fell off the wagon after six years of sobriety.
However, after the incident, sources said the singer was “very grateful to be alive,” and the family had been encouraging her to go straight to rehab when she was released from the hospital.
Now, nearly a week after Lovato’s near-fatal overdose, sources say she’s not doing well. According to TMZ, Lovato has been suffering extreme nausea, a high fever and more in the aftermath of the overdose.
As a result, doctors have not made a decision on her release. But, one source did tell TMZ that Lovato “is under the care of medical experts and is expected to make a full recovery.”
