Nearly five years after Kanye West’s Twitter attack on Jimmy Kimmel over the host’s 2013 video spoof of West’s BBC interview from the same year, the Chicago-bred rapstar is set to make an appearance Kimmel’s talk show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
On Tuesday, Kimmel took to Twitter to announce the Thursday night return of “HURRICANE KANYE,” after four long years, and a social media fueled “rap feud.”
Back in 2013, upon learning of Kimmel’s parody sketch, the rapper took to Twitter to fire off a slew of scathing tweets against the talk show host. “Jimmy Kimmel put yourself in my shoes,” West wrote in one of the now-deleted tweets. “Oh no, that means you would have gotten too much good p*ssy in your life.”
After that, Kimmel addressed the controversy in his opening monologue, as he revealed to his audience that West had called him to demand a public apology. According to Kimmel, West said, “I am the most powerful voice in media…You will never be able to show your face at a 14-year-old’s high school football game and be cool again.”

In turn, Kimmel made light of the incident, saying, “Finally, I’m in a rap feud. I always wanted to be in a rap feud.”

However, the tension came to an end a few months later, when West appeared on the show to discuss the comments that sparked the initial spoof. But now, years later, the two have officially moved on, but it will be interesting to see the two recap the entire ordeal on the show.
