Eleven years after Nicki Minaj released “Dreams,” on her debut mixtape, “Playtime Is Over,” where she listed the “up-and-comers that could probably get it,” the self-proclaimed Barbie has released an updated version on her new album, “Queen.”
“Barbie Dreams,” the third track on Minaj’s highly anticipated fourth album, followed a similar structure to the original, which sampled the classic celebrity sex fantasy, “Dreams (Just Playin’)” by the late great Notorious B.I.G.
In the song, Minaj name-dropped some of the biggest names in Hollywood, such as 50 Cent, Rae Sremmurd, Bow Wow, Fetty Wap, Drake, Karreuche, Eminem, Lil Uzi, and even her ex, Meek Mill.
“I tried to 50 for a powerful hour, but all that nigga wanna do is talk, “Power” for hours,” she rapped of 50 Cent.
“Drake worth a $100 milli, always buying me shit, but I don’t know if the pussy wet or if he crying and shit,” she rapped about her label mate and friend, Drake.
“Meek still be in my DMs I be having to duck em, I used to pray for times like this….face ass when I f*ck em.”
As she continued, she threw shade at Young Thug’s wardrobe, claiming she caught him in her dressing room, “wearing dresses and shit.”
She also mentioned Odell Beckham, Future, and Dj Khaled, who she called a fat nigga, as she claims she canceled him over his refusal to eat the box. She then went on to rap about YG, The Game and Eminem, referencing his trailer park past.
