Baller Alert reported this development first. By now you have probably heard about the interview Andrew Caldwell gave over the weekend in which he claimed a relationship with former NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart. Caldwell, best known for a viral video, has since done interviews retracting the claim and apologizing to Stewart. Stewart has denied the claim and has released statements pointing to his ex wife, Porsha Williams of Real Housewives of Atlanta, as being behind a plan to hurt him.
According to information Baller Alert obtained exclusively from sources at the time, there was more to the story. Our sources say Caldwell was cast in a reality show pilot called The Gospel Truth and left St. Louis to begin filming in Atlanta. Caldwell blames the show’s producer, a man named Keyun, for misleading him.
Caldwell alleges that Keyun told him on several occasions that Porsha Williams, Nene Leakes and others would take part in the show and that the production was tied to Bravo. Caldwell also claims he was told he needed a juicy storyline and that saying he had a relationship with Stewart would make good television. In return, Caldwell alleges he was promised $600,000 from Williams.
These are Caldwell’s allegations as relayed to Baller Alert by sources. Baller Alert has not confirmed them, and no proof of any involvement by Williams, Leakes or Bravo was provided. Keyun’s side of the story was not available at the time of our report.
Baller Alert also learned that audio of Caldwell may surface in the coming days. We could not confirm that, and we will share more when we know more. A separate leaked audio recording reportedly features Caldwell expressing regret and apologizing to Stewart, and in it he says he was not pressured into the apology.
The question remains whether anyone else played a role or whether this was a plan involving only Caldwell and a producer. Stay tuned to Baller Alert.
