Donald Trump Thanks Jim Brown For His Support, Says Their Meeting Helped Lower African-American Unemployment

Though some say “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach,” for Donald Trump, the way to his heart is through his ego. 

In fact, it’s quite simple. If you like Trump, he likes you. If you compliment Trump, he compliments you, and so on and so forth, which explains his recent praise of NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown. 

Last week, Brown sat down with JT The Brick to discuss the potential success of his former team, as well as his thoughts on the controversial National Anthem protests. 

He also opened up about his support of the Celebrity-in-Chief, revealing that he’s still “really pulling for the President,” despite the recent scandals, widespread controversy and bigotry. 

In turn, Trump returned the favor by sharing a few words about his old friend. 

“Thank you to the great [Jim Brown] perhaps the greatest running back of all time, for your wonderful words and support,” Trump tweeted Monday morning. “Since our meeting in New York, African-American UNEMPLOYMENT has reached the LOWEST LEVEL IN HISTORY. You get it!”

According to TMZ, Trump’s tweet came just days after he praised Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, for their support. 

“Now we’re doing great and Kanye West liked me and that really lifted my —Kanye West has some real power,” he said Friday. “He’s got a good wife too, in Kim, I’ll tell ya.
