Late last month, Chris Brown’s baby mama, Nia Guzman, hired celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom to help go after Brown in a demand for an increase in child support.
In the filing, according to the blast, Guzman claimed she only brings in about $400 a month from an online clothing store inspired by their 4-year-old, Royalty. Meanwhile, she said Brown earned more than $350,000 per month on average over the last two years, so by law and based off income, she should receive an additional $18,500 a month.
In addition to that, she demanded back pay of more than $250,000, but Brown refused, accusing Guzman of using their daughter as a “pawn” to get more money.
But now, as it turns out, Brown hasn’t been the only person coughing up cash for financial support. In fact, in new docs obtained by The Blast, Guzman received a huge donation from her “silent [celebrity] friend,” Floyd Mayweather Jr.
According to the publication, Guzman started the online company with a $20,000 “gift” from a friend. Though she initially refused to reveal the identify of said friend, Brown’s legal team managed to squeeze out the truth.
“We’ve been friends for 10+ years,” Guzman said of her relationship with The Money Team boss, adding that Mayweather’s baby’s mother is also a friend of hers.
“[We] all go back many years,” she continued, saying he “heard about the idea of me wanting to start the company, and he said that he would help with it at no cost.”
But when Brown’s lawyers clarified where Mayweather “heard” the idea, Guzman revealed that she told him, despite his longstanding beef with Brown.
