Angel Reese’s sneaker story is heating up again with the Reebok Angel Reese 1 “Red,” a bold new colorway set to release June 12, 2026. The adult version arrives in a nearly all-red build that lines up with Reese’s new Atlanta Dream jersey, with the only major contrast coming from clean white hits on the Reebok and Angel Reese logos. A kids’ “Chalk/Red” pair will also release, giving younger fans a more balanced version with contrasting accents on the underlays and outsole.
Reese’s Reebok partnership began in 2023 while she was still at LSU, shortly after Shaquille O’Neal became president of Reebok Basketball. AP reported that Reese became one of Shaq’s first major athlete signings in that role, making the deal feel bigger than a standard endorsement.
That bet quickly turned into a signature-shoe rollout. The Angel Reese 1 officially hit retail on September 18, 2025, making Reese the 15th player in WNBA history to release her own sneaker, according to Andscape. The shoe sold out on Reebok’s website within hours across all 24 sizes and three launch colorways.
Reese made it clear that the shoe was personal, not just promotional. “The Angel Reese 1 represents years of hard work, determination and perseverance, not just from me, but from my fans and the incredible team around me,” she said. “I want the Angel Reese 1 to deliver confidence with every step, whether you’re competing on the court or making your mark off of it.”
The “Red” colorway arrives during a new chapter for Reese after the Chicago Sky traded her to the Atlanta Dream in April 2026. The Dream connection makes this sneaker feel less like a random release and more like a visual reset for her brand.
Reebok describes the Angel Reese 1 as a performance basketball shoe with ERS technology, a molded upper, and Reese’s signature logo, blending stability, energy return, and style-driven design.
For Reese, the “Red” drop matters because it connects everything she has become: WNBA star, fashion figure, Reebok centerpiece, and culture driver. If fans respond the way they did to her first release, this could prove her sneaker line is not just surviving the hype. It is becoming part of her legacy.
