Chris Brown faces a $2 million legal battle now that a bank has sued him over allegations he received a loan to purchase two Popeyes Chicken fast-food restaurants.

City National Bank filed the lawsuit in California, where Brown resides, The Blast reported. The loan was given to a group of people that included The Dream and Brown for two Popeyes locations, but that never happened.

The bank has sought out the repayment of the loan since 2018 but to no avail, Hiphopdx reported. As of February 17, 2023, “Borrower and Guarantors owe $2,140,901.74 in unpaid principal and interest,” the lawsuit details.

Chris will most likely have to fork over the payment because the suit filed in California is a collection suit, which means that City National Bank won a default judgment against the 11:11 singer, and they just want their share of the money.

Only time will tell if the Bank will pursue legal action against The Dream.
