On Thursday’s episode of The Breakfast Club, DeVon Franklin opened up about his divorce from Megan Good.

During the interview, DJ Envy asked the producer about his mental health and if he had a chance to heal since his very publicized split from the actress.

Franklin said, “Mentally I’m much better … but it comes from a process.”

He continued, “Sometimes there are nights I cry myself to sleep and ya know there are moments when I’m angry. But I’ve allowed myself to feel whatever I felt in order to heal.”

Franklin then admitted that when he doesn’t face his feelings, he looks for something else to help get him through the pain.

Later in the interview, Charlemagne asked if he regretted writing the book, The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love, with Megan before their divorce.

He said, “No of course not” before throwing a little shade at Charlemagne and his first book Black Privilege.

Franklin then explained how he does regret writing the book since their marriage didn’t work.

But he did say the value of delayed gratification was always  the message of the book and said that they shared the message from a “place of love.”
