A long-running co-parenting dispute between Future and Brittni Mealy is heating up again, with new claims putting their personal history back under a microscope.
According to court filings, Mealy alleges the rapper has not seen their 13-year-old son, Prince, in more than 16 months. In a letter dated April 7, 2026, she denied blocking access, stating she has “not blocked access in any way, shape or form.” She instead claims Future has “not seen his son in over sixteen months, has not called him, and has not meaningfully inquired” about his day-to-day life, including school and medical needs.
She also says he has missed birthdays and other “irreplaceable moments,” adding that he has direct contact access since he provided their son with a phone. Mealy further alleges that Future changed his number and instructed people in his circle not to share it with Prince.
Their history goes back to the early 2010s. They welcomed their son in 2013, but the relationship was rocky, with plenty of make up-to-breakup moments hitting the internet. Back in 2020, she publicly accused the rapper of telling their son “F**k you” during his birthday party. The following year, she claimed Future told the child that his mother was a “hoe” after she allegedly refused his sexual advances.
That tension has continued through multiple legal disputes. Earlier this year, Mealy filed court claims accusing Future of failing to obtain a $500,000 life insurance policy for their son, while his legal team maintains he complied.
Future, who has several children with different partners, has faced similar co-parenting scrutiny before, including with singer Ciara, whose son later took the last name of Russell Wilson.
With both sides holding firm, this latest filing adds another chapter to a years-long, very public dispute.
