Jammie Booker’s rise to the top of the competitive strength world was short-lived. The Official Strongman Games announced that Booker has been disqualified from the 2025 World Championship after it was revealed she was born male, a direct violation of the event’s entry rules.
Booker claimed the title of World’s Strongest Woman during the competition held last weekend in Arlington, Texas. However, on Tuesday, event officials issued a public statement confirming she had been removed from the final standings.
We’ve been notified Booker was born a male and identifies as a female,” organizers said in their statement. “This violates the competition rules.”
The Strongman Games, which took place from November 20 to November 23, 2025, require all athletes to compete in the category that matches their biological gender assigned at birth. Officials said they are currently reviewing how the eligibility error occurred and noted they have attempted to contact Booker without success.
With Booker disqualified, the title has now been awarded to Andrea Thompson of the United Kingdom, who originally finished second. Thompson previously held the championship in 2018.
As of now, Booker has not made a public comment regarding the situation.
