A routine trip to Lowe’s turned into a viral moment after Jim Jones posted footage of a tense exchange with a store manager over what he says was a mislabeled item.

The rapper claimed he was shopping for a set of locks when he noticed the product appeared to be marked at $78, which he believed was lower than its actual price. According to Jones, instead of simply honoring or correcting the tag, the situation escalated when a manager accused him of switching the label himself.
Jones later shared his frustration online, saying the encounter left him embarrassed and disrespected.
“I went to one of my favorite places today @loweshomeimprovement and I was treated less than very embarrassing. Yal know my first thought was to crash but I’ve learned I can’t handle every situation wit that mentality cause it turns me being right into a wrong do to th way I react,” he wrote. “I was theater. Today I held my composer pretty well if u know me. All this over the fact they left the price on a item that was wrong and I wanted to make sure it was the price. I was threatened to not b taking care of as a customer. I was rudely told to get out and they called the cops on me all because I knew I was right and they knew they was wrong so to hide it or scare me they tried to call the police.
Police were reportedly called to the store before the dispute came to an end.
Even after the incident, Jones said he still plans to shop with the home improvement chain, though he questioned the company’s management choices.
“Let’s juts say God don’t play bout me I ain’t perfect but u don’t have to h perfect to b right. Lowe’s as a customer yal need to do better wit choosing ur managers because this was something that could of been avoided if the manager new anything about customer service. I’m still goin to shop at @loweshomeimprovement hope I don’t get harassed again.”
Social media users quickly reacted, with some joking about Jones’ tone in the video while others sided with him, saying the issue was bigger than the price itself. Lowe’s has not publicly responded.
