Little Caesars is no exception to price hikes: its $5 Hot-N-Ready pizza price has increased by 11%.
This will be the pizza chain’s first price increase in nearly 25 years, with its “new and improved” pizza that now has 33% more pepperoni and a new price of $5.55.
Since 2001, Little Caesars has been ready for take-out without the need for pre-orders, distinguishing it from its competitors.
When compared to Dominos and Pizza Hut, Little Caesars claims that its big pepperoni pizzas are still one of the most affordable pizzas in the country.
The new Hot-N-Ready menu is a permanent update, and the price may increase in select cities once the nationwide special price expires after a “limited time.”
Over the past two years, there has been an explosion in sales of pizza during the pandemic, with sales at public rivals also increasing.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, prices have risen across the board, including at restaurants, where prices increased 5.8% in the year ending November 2021. The dramatic hikes show that restaurants and food producers are not immune to supply chain and labor challenges, which are driving up prices everywhere.
