Offset is facing legal heat after a security guard claims the rapper physically assaulted him during a visit to a Los Angeles dispensary earlier this year.
The guard, Jim Sanchez, has filed a lawsuit against the Migos rapper, alleging that Offset attacked him at the MedMen dispensary near LAX back in March. Sanchez says he was on duty when Offset and his group walked in. When he asked to see ID, Sanchez claims things escalated quickly.
According to the suit, Offset became hostile and allegedly struck Sanchez in the face. The complaint also states that members of Offset’s crew joined in, leaving Sanchez with headaches and neck injuries so severe that he had to be taken to the hospital by paramedics.
Sanchez is suing for assault, battery, and emotional distress, saying the altercation left a lasting impact.
Offset’s team, however, paints a very different picture. They say the lawsuit is based on false claims and that the guard was actually the aggressor. At the time of the incident, Offset’s representatives said Sanchez rushed at the rapper and even spat on him, which sparked the confrontation. Sources also claimed the guard used mace during the scuffle.
No formal response has been filed by Offset’s legal team yet, and Sanchez’s attorney hasn’t issued a public statement either.
