10-Year-Old Shot and Killed Woman Who Got Into A Fight With Her Mother

Authorities reported Monday that a 10-year-old Florida girl shot and killed a woman who had gotten into a confrontation with her mother.

According to an Orlando Police Department news release, the girl and her mother were taken into custody Monday night after Lashun Rodgers, 41, was fatally shot outside an apartment complex.

The Florida Department of Children and Families took custody of the girl. At the same time, her mother, Lakrisha Isaac, 31, was arrested on counts of culpable negligence manslaughter, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and aggravated assault with a firearm.

During the fight between Isaac and Rodgers, Isaac handed her daughter a bag containing a gun that she took out and fired two shots.

According to the Orlando Police Department, any charges against the girl will be resolved following a review by the State Attorney’s Office.

According to court records, Isaac was still in jail on Tuesday afternoon.
