100-Foot-Long Joint Causes a Frenzy at Massachusetts Pot Fest

A 100-foot-long joint filled with more than 1,000 grams of weed was a hit at a Massachusetts pot fest.

Saturday, a group of smokers at Harvest Cup, a marijuana festival in Worcester, made a joint that was said to the size of one-third of a football field.

Keith Laham, the organizer of the project, told the Boston Globe that they trained for months to make this happen.

“It’s pretty much impossible to roll a 100-foot bone by throwing paper out there and trying to just roll it,” Laham told the paper. “But when we get sections and teams of people, then we will be able to do it. We will have guys running up and down making sure it gets connected in the right places.”

With the help of forty people, they were able to roll the massive joint made from 3,000 yards of rolling paper. While the completion of such a task is shocking to say the least, many people were left a little baffled by the super size joint.

“First thought is, when do we get to smoke it? That thing is epic!” Ali Kamran-Rad told CBS Boston.

Patrick Breton said, “Honestly, I want to know who has lungs powerful enough to suck air all the way from that end, to this end,”

Andrew Mutty, who helped roll the joint, said, “It’s almost impossible to smoke it the way it is, so we’re going to break it down into sections, probably pile it up on top of each other, use some of the rolling paper we have to roll it tighter,” he told MassLive.com. “And then I really want to take a Shop-Vac or something, stick it on the end of it … then a blow-torch, and then just see what happens.”

Though this massive joint is definitely record breaking, it will reportedly not be entered into the Guinness World Records.

“We currently do not monitor this category as it is deemed illegal under British law,” a Guinness spokeswoman told the Boston Globe. “As we are based out of the U.K., it is our policy to monitor record titles that are legal under British law.”
