TLC‘s “1,000-Lb. Sisters” star Amy Slaton has been arrested and charged with illegal drug possession and child endangerment following an incident at the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo. On Monday, Slaton and her boyfriend, Brian Scott Lovvorn, were taken into custody by the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation that began when officers responded to a report of a guest being bitten by a camel at the park. When deputies arrived, they detected a suspicious odor coming from the vehicle occupied by Slaton and Lovvorn. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of illegal substances, resulting in charges against both individuals. Slaton and Lovvorn are each facing charges of illegal possession of a Schedule I substance, illegal possession of a Schedule IV substance, and two counts of child endangerment. They were booked into the Crockett County Jail shortly after.
The Sheriff’s Department clarified that these charges are accusations and that Slaton and Lovvorn are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. Details about the camel bite incident and any injuries sustained have not been released.
