12-Year-Old Girl Saves Baby Brother, 2, From Being Kidnapped Inside Restaurant, Incident Captured On Video

A 12-year-old in Oklahoma was caught on camera protecting her 2-year-old brother as a woman attempted to kidnap him.

Back in December, Makayla Phillips was eating lunch with her grandmother, 4-year-old sister and 2-year-old brother at a restaurant in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Not long after Phillips and her family were seated, a woman came up to them and displayed a creepy and disturbing amount of affection to the two younger children.

Speaking with Fox 19, Phillips explained the inappropriate incident stating, “She walked up to them and gave both of them a kiss. My grandma, she thought it was weird and not right, so she decided to move us to a different table.”

The woman — who has yet to be identified by police — walked away, however shortly after, she would approach the family again.

“She picked him up and took one step, but I grabbed him back from her and yelled at her and said don’t let touch my brother,” Phillips said as she explained the story to KJRH-TV.

“We were just yelling and she was saying my brother was her baby, and I was just yelling back at her saying that’s not her baby. That’s my brother,” Phillips continued.

Crystal Phillips, Makayla’s mother, happened to be at work when the almost tragic incident occurred, however with the whole incident caught on camera, she was able to witness it with her own eyes.

“That was hard to watch. Anyone grabbing my child, even for just a split second, I think the worst. What could have happened, what would have happened if [Makayla] wasn’t there,” she told Fox 19.
