‘16 & Pregnant’ reality star Jordan Cashmyer has unfortunately passed away at 26.
TMZ broke the news early Sunday morning but says medical examiners have not released the cause of death yet.
Jordan gained her fame after appearing on ‘MTV’s 16 & Pregnant’ with her boyfriend Derek Taylor back in 2014. The young couple was in a bad situation as they were technically homeless before their daughter’s birth. Jordan’s family disowned her after not approving of her relationship with Derek.
After the show, Jordan and Derek parted ways but could not properly care for their daughter, Evie. However, Jordan’s dad and stepmom gained custody of Evie and shared guardianship with her often.
In 2015, Jordan signed her custody rights over temporarily to Derek’s mom while she went off to get herself together. Jordan suffered from mental health issues, suicidal thoughts, and addiction.
