At least 19 children were injured yesterday after an SUV crashed straight into a preschool in California.
The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. when the Suzuki SUV veered off-road and slammed into the building in Anderson, California.
A total of 19 children and two adults were injured when the vehicle slammed into their classroom.
The Anderson Sheriff’s Department said that 14 of the children were transported to an area hospital along with one staff member. The extent of the injuries to the children was unclear as of last night.
A Drug Recognition Expert from the department has already determined that the driver was “impaired” at the time of the crash.
