According to ABC’s Huntsville station WAAY, at least two individuals were killed, and two others were injured in a shooting at a fire hydrant plant in Alabama this morning.
The incident happened at the Mueller Co. plant in Albertville, Alabama, which makes fire hydrants and other water distribution items.
The suspect has been identified, according to Albertville police.
“The scene is secure and still being processed,” police said. “Businesses in the industrial park are safe to conduct business as normal.”
It was reported that the suspect allegedly fled the scene of the incident. However, he was later found dead with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in his car.
The Mueller Co. factory is part of an industrial park in Boaz and Albertville that also houses several other businesses.
