Two people were shot after a late-night altercation Monday near several popular Miami Beach restaurants.
Officers responded at 1st Street and Ocean Drive, not far from both the Prime 112 and Prime Italian restaurants, just before midnight, and discovered two victims who had been shot, according to Miami Beach Police spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez.
Both patients were taken to Ryder Trauma Center, one with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and the other with a leg wound.
The MacArthur Causeway was temporarily closed as part of the inquiry; however, it was reopened immediately after several probable shooters were apprehended.
As the investigation proceeds, the 100 block of Ocean Drive remains closed, and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
