Rapper 21 Savage is asking a judge to throw out all evidence collected when he was pulled over in what he says was an unlawful traffic stop.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ include a motion filed by the rapper’s legal team requesting that prosecutors not be allowed to present evidence they collected during the stop.
Authorities claimed 21 threw codeine and his keys out of the car when he was pulled over in February of 2021. And for the firearm police found in the car, the rapper says, “there was no illegality for the weapon to be in the car.”
He was charged with drug and gun possession and now faces deportation back to the United Kingdom, his birthplace.
The lingering case has been a thorn in his side that has made it hard for him to move around.
Hopefully, he can eventually get it over with.
