New Information About The Deaths Of 21 South African Teens Who Died In Nightclub: ‘They Died As They Danced’

New information has emerged after 21 teens mysteriously died while partying at a nightclub in South Africa.

“They died as they danced,” says Police Minister Bheki Cele, CBS News reports. “They dance, fall, and die. Literally.” That’s the latest discovery from a strange incident that led to 21 teens dying while out at a tavern in the coastal city of East London. The youngest that passed away was 13. Eight girls and 13 boys passed died.

Anyone 18 and older was allowed to drink. However, the drinking laws aren’t always exercised. There were visible wounds on their bodies, and authorities have ruled out the possibility of a stampede having led to the deaths.

“Forensic (investigators) will take samples and test to see if there was any poisoning of any sort,” said Unathi Binqose, a safety government official who was at the scene.

“It’s a terrible scene,” said Cele to reporters. “They are pretty young. When you are told they are 13 years, 14 years and you go there and you see them. It breaks (you).”
