Alexandria Vera, now former English Teacher at Aldine ISD’s Stovall Middle School, has turned herself in after being charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child.
According to reports, the 24-year old met and fell in love with a 13-year-old boy who was a student in her 8th grade English class during summer school. One day, the boy skipped school and messaged Vera via Instagram. The very next day, Vera drove to the boy’s house, per his request to hang out alone, and had sex with the 13-year-old, for the first time.
Their relationship lasted throughout the school year.
Vera officially met the boy’s parents at the school’s open house in the Fall. She was introduced as his girlfriend. According to the New York Post, by January, the family welcomed Vera when she announced she was pregnant with the 13-year-old’s child.
A warrant was issued for Vera’s arrest on Tuesday; however, she was nowhere to be found.
She turned herself in on Wednesday.
