CMG star 42 Dugg is officially a free man.
On Monday, the “We Paid” rapper walked free from the United States Penitentiary Atlanta, though his release was announced on Wednesday. He was freed after six months behind bars, though the terms of his release remain unknown. However, TMZ reports that Dugg went to the studio shortly after he came home, so he may not be subjected to probationary conditions. In April 2023, the 28-year-old received his fate for failing to turn himself in last year for a six-month stint for illegal gun possession.
A video surfaced online showing the rapper happily jogging out of the prison gates. Another clip shared by his label head, Yo Gotti, showed the two embracing in front of a fleet of luxury vehicles. The two also flicked it up, and it seems Gotti is ready to get back to work, captioning their reunion, “It’s Time To Go Again!”
Despite his legal issues, CMG has been keeping Dugg fans well-fed with several releases since he’s been gone. This includes singles “Bae” and “One Time,” both of which dropped with visuals. Meanwhile, behind bars, Dugg was busy speaking out about the unfavorable prison conditions. He claimed that the facility had no clean water, unsanitary showers, and no places to heat up food, amongst other complaints. Luckily for him, Dugg is back to his rapper comfortable lifestyle, leaving the prison slums behind him, hopefully for good this time.
