The Memphis Police Department confirmed the fourth suspect in the murder case of rapper Young Dolph was arrested.
Jermarcus Johnson was taken into custody Friday afternoon.
Fox New 13 reports that Jermarcus turned himself in to the Multi-Agency Gang Unit after being named a suspect in the killing. He reportedly is the half-brother of Justin Johnson, 24, who has already been indicted in the murder and is currently in jail.
In addition to the Johnson brothers, two other men have been arrested in connection to Dolph’s murder.
Hernandez Govan, 43, was indicted on Nov. 10, 2022. He pleaded not guilty in court earlier this week to charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first-degree murder, and criminal attempted first-degree murder. He is due back in court next month and will stay in jail without bond.
Justin Johnson, 24, and Cornelius Smith, 32, are due back in court on January 20, 2023. They both were indicted at the beginning of the year on charges of first-degree murder, criminal attempted first-degree murder, unlawful carrying and possession of a firearm, employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and theft of property.
Johnson faces additional charges from a non-related case because he failed to register as a sex offender, violating the Sex Offender Registry Act.
Jermarcus Johnson has been charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
