50 Cent says that one of his biggest hits was written to improve his chances with the ladies.

The rapper-turned-media mogul recently dished on his debut album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin,'” which was released in 2003. The album spawned a flurry of hits, including “In Da Club,” ‘P.I.M.P.,” and the smash single “21 Questions.” The love song featured the late Nate Dogg and became an instant success among the ladies. Twenty years later, 50 says that was his goal all along.

According to the now 47-year-old, despite Dr. Dre not wanting to include the record on the project, he knew it would be beneficial for him landing the women he wanted.

“I felt like, ‘This is gonna be good for my love life!’ I’m dead serious,” he shared with MSNBC’s Ari Melber.

The single stayed in the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and would eventually become four times platinum. Wanting his female fans to see him as a lovable guy, he added the most memorable line: “I love you like a fat kid loves cake.” The lyric continues to find itself on picture captions across social media.

“21 Questions,” along with every record on “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” helped it become his most successful album. It sold over 872,000 within the first week of its release, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. The album went on to move over 12 million copies internationally.
