50 Cent Apologizes to Megan Thee Stallion for Comparing Her to Jussie Smollett During Tory Lanez Shooting Trial: “Now I Know What Happened” [Video]

50 Cent has offered an apology to Megan Thee Stallion after initially accusing her of lying on Tory Lanez.

The “Many Men” rapper joined Big Boy TV, where he dished on various topics before landing on Megan at around the 7:50 mark. In a stunning show of maturity rarely seen by the business-savvy social media troll, 50 said he was sorry for saying unpleasant things about the “Tina Snow” rapper. Specifically, he pointed to the interview she did with Gayle King, where Meg denied having an intimate relationship with Lanez, which was later confirmed in court. The “Power” creator says he automatically assumed she was lying about being shot by him as well.

If you recall, the 47-year-old shared a meme of Megan, which appeared to show her morphing into Jussie Smollett, who famously lied about being attacked in 2019. However, 50 says he had a change of heart after hearing the recorded jail phone call of Lanez apologizing to his former friend after the shooting incident.

“When I heard the phone conversation… That made me feel like, ‘Oh shit,'” he admitted. “‘Now I know what happened.’ I’m sure that was probably what swayed people in court, too.”

This is the second time that Curtis “Petty” Jackson has had to take back some mean-spirited comments directed at the Houston Hot Girl. Back in 2020, shortly after news broke of the shooting, he shared another meme poking fun at his fellow Grammy award winner, who sustained a bullet wound to her foot.

Megan Thee Stallion has been absent from social media since last month’s verdict. Therefore, we likely will never know if she accepts 50’s apology, but it is refreshing to see him taking accountability for poking fun at such a serious situation.
