50 Cent is taking aim at Joe Budden after the podcast host suggested he needs therapy for his reaction to Irv Gotti’s death.
On a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden weighed in on 50’s controversial Instagram post following the Murder Inc. founder’s passing earlier this month. In the post, 50 shared a photo of himself smoking hookah next to a fake tombstone, captioning it: “I’m smoking on dat Gotti pack. Nah God bless him LOL.”
Budden called the move unnecessary, telling listeners: “Y’all always mix it up, because ‘Hip-Hop’ is the new meaning for ‘I need therapy.’ Kanye West needs therapy. 50 Cent needs therapy. I don’t care if you agree with the rationale. And 50’s 50, he gon’ stand in it.”
The Power producer wasted no time clapping back. Taking to Instagram, 50 posted a screenshot of Budden’s podcast episode, writing: “Stay out my mix Joe! Talking about I need therapy. Bh, you need to stop walking around naked. The fk is you doing in the hallway with ya balls out PUNK!”*
50 was referring to Joe Budden’s December 2023 lewdness incident, where he was allegedly caught naked in his apartment hallway knocking on a neighbor’s door. Budden later claimed he was sleepwalking, and the charge was eventually dropped.
The bad blood between 50 and Irv Gotti dates back over two decades, fueled by allegations that Irv was connected to the person behind 50’s 2000 shooting, as well as a studio altercation where 50 was stabbed by Murder Inc. associates.
