50 Cent and Joe Budden’s back-and-forth is reaching new heights, with Budden now suggesting legal action over AI-generated images that Fif has been posting online. But as expected, 50 isn’t taking the threat seriously.
On Monday, the G-Unit mogul took to Instagram to respond to Budden’s claim that he might get lawyers involved. Posting a clip of Budden addressing the issue on his podcast, 50 wrote, “So that’s the plan 😂 you gonna sue me Joe? Hahaha I think you are mistaking me for someone else. I’ma get face to face wit you, so you can tell me about the therapy I need.”
The tension between the two started after Budden suggested on The Joe Budden Podcast that 50 Cent should consider therapy due to his antics online—particularly his post about Irv Gotti’s passing. After Gotti’s death, 50 shared a photo of himself smoking hookah next to a tombstone that read “RIP,” alongside an old picture of Gotti. “I’m smoking on dat Gotti pack, nah God bless him 🕊️LOL,” he captioned the post.
50 retaliated against Budden’s comments by posting a series of AI-generated images showing Budden sleepwalking naked, a clear reference to a real-life incident where Budden was caught on video attempting to enter his neighbor’s apartment while sleepwalking in the nude. Though the situation led to a court case, Budden was ultimately able to clear his name.
On his podcast, Budden acknowledged 50’s trolling spree, saying, “50’s been posting me for seven days in a row. If I have a problem with it, we’re getting lawyers involved.” He went on to argue that posting AI-generated photos of someone without disclosure could be illegal, adding, “You can’t do that.”
Still, Budden noted that he’s not currently bothered by 50’s antics, but if it stops being entertaining, he’s prepared to take legal action. “If I get tired of it, and it stops paying, then yeah, it’s lawyer time.”
