Sky Addict Aviation will no longer be allowed to operate its business out of the Albert Whitted Airport after St. Petersburg city leaders revoked the company’s rental lease for hosting 50 Cent’s extravagant Super Bowl party.
According to 10 Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman threatened fines for the company and rapper over the weekend for throwing such a large-scale event on Friday night, where very few partygoers wore masks.
An angry Kriseman called the festivities “stupid” in a Twitter rant on Saturday.
“We’re going to take a very close look at this, and it may end up costing someone a lot more than 50 cent,” Kriseman tweeted.
A city spokesperson told the Tampa Bay news outlet on Tuesday that Sky Addict’s lease was terminated from the Albert Whitted Airport because of the party.
This isn't how we should be celebrating the Super Bowl. It's not safe or smart. It's stupid. We're going to take a very close look at this, and it may end up costing someone a lot more than 50 cent. @TMZhttps://t.co/Vrvg8fTdBB
