50 Cent recently sat down with The Breakfast Club where he talked about his past friendship with former BFF Floyd Mayweather, Floyd’s fight with T.I., being in love with Ciara during their four year relationship and how his 2 year old son was an “arrangement.” Read the excerpts & check out the video below.
On T.I. & Mayweather’s Fight (3:35)
“I already knew he [T.I.] kind of had that interview towards [Floyd] with Tiny already so TIP felt there was something going on between them. He [Floyd] should have distanced himself from the situation. Especially since that was his [TI’s] wife. He’s way invested in this. I don’t know if he [TI] connected but the fact that he threw the punch is good enough. Give him credit. That’s his business for now, but it was funny though.”
When Asked If He Would Have Done The Same
“That’s just the emotions building up. You know what that’s like. You were married to girl, look how many kids he’s got, it’s televised too. So, how do you recover from it? Then I think it’s a part of how close T.I. is with Mo (Nelly). Because that’s the second time, now. First was Nelly and Melissa, Floyd’s first baby mother, he was around her, then he ended up around Miss Jackson.
On Being In Love With Ciara (28:44)
“I won’t tell you every time [I was in love] but I was digging Ciara. I was around Ciara for 4 years.”
On Why They Broke Up
“I guess it was just time. It was times, things, it was something basic. It was a small situation but we made it bigger. I don’t really talk about women because whatever we say is wrong.”
Whether He’ll Ever Get Married (18:54)
“No. It’s expensive. I have to really develop a friendship that I just feel is priceless so that whatever it costs, if it doesn’t actually work that way, then it wouldn’t matter. The guys that I know that run Fortune 500 companies, they’ll tell you they were married twice, married three times and their biggest losses have been in their investment in friendship. Getting divorced and losing portions of their money at different points. They lose it that way. They don’t lose it through contracts.”
On His Two Year Old Son With Daphne Joy
“I wasn’t in love. That was a different type of situation. That was an arrangement.”
When asked if he planned to have the baby, 50 confirms & said he made it happen in one shot.
