During a conversation on The Breakfast Club Tuesday morning, 50 Cent revealed that he recently declined a $3 million offer to perform at a Trump rally held this past Sunday in New York.
He also mentioned that earlier this year, he was offered money to perform at the Republican National Convention (RNC).
50 explained his decision on the show, saying he prefers to steer clear of politics. “I don’t like… no gang banging or politics,” he said, noting that both worlds tend to bring strong opinions and conflicts. “When you do get involved, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”
He later joked that politics was “the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye to Japan.”
The Flashing Lights rapper has been keeping a low profile in Japan, reportedly working on his latest album following a series of controversies.
