This Is Not A Drill: 7-Eleven's 'Bring Your Own Cup Day' Returns

7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes invite customers to “BYOC” and enjoy a Slurpee drink for just $1.99 on April 29.

Whether it’s your favorite Prince coffee mug or that Patti Labelle cake dish, 7-Eleven is allowing any container of your choosing to be filled up with Slurpee for just $1.99.

The promotion returns on April 29th, giving customers a few days to find their beloved cups, bowls, or any other object that can hold Slurpee. Once they arrive at any 7-Eleven, Speedway, or Stripes locations, they can stuff their container with any flavor of the adored slushie beverage. The only stipulation is that whatever receptacle you bring must be ten inches in diameter. 7-Eleven suggests using only a watertight container, as things can get a bit messy otherwise. Customers can choose from flavors Cherry, Coca-Cola, Blue Raspberry, Fanta, Peach Perfect, Mango Lemonade, and more.

7-Eleven debuted Bring Your Own Cup Day in the U.S. back in 2015. At that time, the price for any cup was just $1.49. Thanks to inflation, the promotion has gone up about 50 cents. Still, the day is expected to be a huge success.

“Slurpee is all about having fun, and what better way to celebrate warmer weather than by filling your favorite cup with your favorite beverage?” Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation, said several years ago when the event was first announced. Regarding this year’s occasion, 7-Eleven Director of Proprietary Beverages, Ben Boulden, encourages fans to get creative with their cups.

BYO Cup Day will occur for just one day, so be sure to get to your local 7-Eleven early!
