7-Year-Old Called Hero After Saving Toddler From Bottom Of Pool

After saving a toddler from the bottom of a pool, a young boy has been labeled a hero.

Massiah Browne,7, was swimming at his apartment complex pool in Sacramento, CA, when he noticed something wasn’t right.

“I was just playing in the pool and then I saw a boy at the bottom of the pool,” Browne said during his Good Morning America appearance. “And I went to go get him.”

The second grader was in the pool with his 9-year-old relative named Savannah when he saw the boy drowning in the pool. He then swam down to the bottom of the 6-feet deep pool to rescue the boy.

Browne said he could see the 3-year-old boy at the bottom of the pool with his mouth and eyes open, so he grabbed the toddler by his arm and pulled him to the pool’s surface.

Savannah helped Browne get the boy to the pool deck, where adults called 911. Browne’s mom, Tiara Delvalle, said she rushed to the pool after relatives called her about the incident.

“Savannah brought him to his mom, and then they did CPR on the boy and then they called the doctor,” Browne said.

“The child was transported in critical condition with advanced life support efforts provided by Sacramento firefighters,” a spokesperson said.

Delvalle and the mother of the boy have stayed in contact since the incident.

“It’s a miracle,” Delvalle said of the boy’s survival.

Browne’s father, Marcus Browne, said that although his son swims like “a fish,” he was still shocked by his son’s heroic efforts.

“I just couldn’t believe it,” Marcus said.

Marcus shared that his son also has a superhero nickname, “Siah Fire.” “He’s a good kid,” the proud dad added.
