As the All-Star Weekend shenanigans begin, we can without a doubt expect the contests and the after parties to be lit this year.
This year the All-Star game is held at the Los Angeles Staples Center. With a few new things straying from the usual blueprint, it’s sure to be an interesting tournament, hopefully, we can see some good action and see some new records break!

Kobe Bryant holds the crown for youngest NBA star to be on the starting lineup during an All-Star game.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar holds the crown for the oldest NBA star to play in an All-Star game, at age 41; and he also holds the record for being the most chosen player, appearing on 19 All-Star teams.

Instead of the league’s star players from the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference going for the win this year, this is the first All-Star tournament where team captains are allowed to pick their own teams. This year’s captains are LeBron James and Stephen Curry.
