Most children are happy to see a professional basketball player responding to their tweets. However, one kid wasn’t the happiest after getting negative feedback from an NBA champ, Kevin Durant.
Jayden Moore, 13, tells USA Today that he was “hurt” after Kevin Durant retweeted a video of him doing a flashy move on the court. Apparently, Moore had a bet with his dad that he tried the move during the game he’d get $10. They were winning by 50. Twitter users were not a fan of the move and soon Kevin Durant, Isaiah Thomas, and Austin Daye chimed in.
Durant retweeted, “The s*** stinks.”
IDC THIS MOVE IS TUFF 🤮

Many Twitter users seem to believe the move was a disappointment and foul.
One said “Serious question. As you practice that move, I’m sure you knew it was super illegal but you wanted to look fancy so you pulled it out in a game and it could’ve cost your team. Was it that important to show off?”
However, many are forgetting he is an 8th grader and was using the opportunity to win a bet with his dad.
The quoted tweet has over 18.9k retweets and 178.4k likes. Jayden expresses his confusion over KD’s comments.
Moore told USA Today, “Like, what made him take time out of his day to say something negative instead of encouraging me or telling what really needs to be done and then texting me privately or something like that.”
He even responded to the NBA All-Star champ. “Thanks for the constructive criticism.. I’ve grown from my 6th grade year! Maybe we can work on some stuff together!! All love 🖤 Hopefully I can get to where you at one day! #keepgrinding“

Looks like the young basketball player decided to take the high road.
Moore’s mother and coach defended the 8th grader rightfully so. Moore’s mother said, “I was going to (tweet), ‘Why’s KD being so mean? It’s the week of Christmas.'”
Durant has yet to respond to the comment. Maybe he’ll help the aspiring basketball player out in the future.
